Dear Kathy, Six years ago I experienced the same thing you are describing. I used to wear adult diapers and had to change them every half hour because they were full of blood and large clots. I also had uterine fibroids, and was told that they were causing this to happen. So, yes, it is possible that the fibroids are causing your heavy bleeding. But there are other possible causes for your heavy bleeding and you should work with your OBGYN to find the right solution for you. Best wishes.
