laparoscopy

Is laparoscopy pretty much the only way a dr. can diagnose adhesions? I am experiencing pelvic pain - this is 2 months after being diagnosed with an infection in my fallopian tube. I was put on antibiotics (Cipro) for one month. All was well for about 2 weeks after the antibiotics and now the pain is back. Its not excruciating but definitely uncomfortable, epsecially since the pain radiates down my legs sometimes. Does the laproscopy procedure sound reasonable? The dr. scheduled it for next week. I have been reading in the archives about adhesions and am nervous about the lap procedure actually making them worse. (?) Thanks.
