I have a few general questions about fertitlty.

First, how long does sperm live inside the female's body?

I can feel when I ovulate. I have symptoms such as pain bloating, cramps and occasionally spotting which have been checked by my gynecologist as she assures me are normal.

The symptoms lasts 12-24 hours so where in relation to this time frame do I actually ovulate?

Also how long before and after I ovulate am I most likely to be "fertile"?

Thank you in advance for any responses.
