Someone wrote: "my question is can I get jock itch if my husband has it? At least that is what he is saying he has. It looks like a rash with pimples or zits in his groin area not on his penis. He also tells me that his groin always feels hot to the touch" The pimples or zits don't sound like jock itch. I think the sensible thing is to have his health care provider look at the rash and prescribe an appropriate treatment. Rashes are almost impossible to diagnose over the Internet. If it is jock itch, an antifungal could help both of you. If it is folliculitis, a bacterial infection that causes pimples and whiteheads and that isn't sexually transmitted, then another treatment may help. In the meantime, treat your athlete's foot, if either of you has it, with an over the counter antifungal cream or spray. Use a hairdryer on a cool setting to dry the feet and genital area after bathing/showering.
