Good Morning OBGYN.netters, I am sitting here at my computer trying to figure out just how we have gone off on so many different subjects during the past week or so that have caused "Our Forum" to become a place for so much disagreement and blatant disrespect for those people that are the back bone of why we are still here after 2 years.......Our Medical Professionals. It sure makes me one sad gal to read some of these posts. I don't know what you are thinking but I am thinking this is a sure way to run off a lot of Great Folks that have spent a long time helping us. I have lived 62 years and seen plenty in that time but this week takes the cake for people coming out of the woodwork looking to attack anyone and anything just to send a post. We were going along our Merry Way helping each other and then, Boom! I see a lot of angry folks out there and I for one don't like it. This is not a place for folks to set up a soap-box and shout off about the wrongs of the medical profession, it's a place for help, sharing experiences, advice, and knowledge. If someone feels that by scaring the living daylights out of people is help Or knowledge I for one would like to add my .02 worth. It's Not! I can watch the news or read the tabloids or listen to folks that hate everything every day of the week if I want to be frightened. I choose Not To! I am an intelligent women and I have access to information and I ask questions. I do not need or desire people to take it upon themselves to educate me with biased opinions about Anything! I can think for myself, thank you very much! I am getting sick and tired of folks that think for some reason there is Always a conspiracy going on to kill us off. I have had several chances to be killed off in my lifetime and so far I have escaped very nicely without their help. I'm mad as h*ll and I am getting just a bit disgusted too. I think the very best thing we OBGYN.netters can do is Ignore posts that are looking for trouble and let them die a fast death. I have been quilty of answering some of them on the WHF but over the past year have learned to pick my battles and ignore a lot of them. This may look like a cowards way of doing things to some people but it works best for me. But this past two weeks I am getting a bit worried as it has been an ongoing thing. Negative posts one after the other.......attacking this or that procedure or person. Please lets put a stop to it before these folks ruin a wonderful resource that we all enjoy so much, our Women's Health Forum at OBGYN.net. It is with Great sadness that I have written this post.
