As your physician stated, I to have never heard of a placental percreta diagnosed this early. It is very unusual. There has been shown to be an increased association between previous uterine lining scaring (C Sections) and percreta. I suppose that the fact that your wife had a C-S 7 months ago, probably contributed. However, I have no direct knowledge about the time interval between a C-S and recurrence. Once there has been a problem like this there is a higher risk for it to occur again in subsequent pregnancies. If you do get pregnant again, be sure your physician has all the details (medical history) of this case.
