Hi! I have not been on forum for awhile, I am in my third week after a lysis of adhesions 5 months after last laparotomy. Everyone seemed to try to talk me into pushing the surgery off for awhile. My dr. did laparotomy in April. He then did a laparoscopy in Aug. dur to severe pain I was having and numerous problems with my bowel which was stuck with adhesions in April. He said that the pelvis after 4 months was covered with adhesions and he was not really sure where my bowel was and that it would have to be taken care of laparotomy soon. I tried to push it off but pain was keeping me up all night and interfering in my whole life. When dr. went in he found that transverse colon had fallen into pelvic area and was smothering the small bowel, I was told to stay bedrest so far for 3 weeks, I think I am feeling better, I know alot of people say that adhesions beget adgesions and surgery begets adhesions but I am not sorry I attempted this agin I guess when you have a dr. like I have who tries to understand, even though I do not think he really understood how much pain I was having, it helps alot. I will let you all know if this has helped my proble even if it will help alittle I will be happy!
