Amy,

I do not wish to post to scare you, but your symptoms may or may not be something to be concerned about. I would certainly be seen as you mentioned you would be for these symptoms. If you don't feel the nurse midwife is going to take these symptoms seriously then my suggestion is you find someone else who will. I think you need to have an internal to check your cervix and possibly even an u/s to evaluate whether or not you may be having cervical changes. I know from my own experiences, my Dr. does both of these whenever I have any of the above symptoms especially the pressure you have mentioned.

Best of luck to you, and make sure you don't leave until you feel confident that she didn't leave any stone unturned.
