Re: Asherman's SyndromeFrom: Thomas (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 13 Oct 1998 02:39:50 -0500 (CDT)
Rebecca This all depends on your particular case. It involves looking at your films and taking into account other factors such as your age. The normal treatment for Asherman's is hysteroscopic division of adhesions followed by placement of a coil for 3 months to prevent the adhesions coming back. If this was successful (and there is a small risk of hysterectomy if you had it done) then it would be possible to have an IVF pregnancy. Possible is the appropriate word and you need to discuss this with your OBGYN. This is normally very much an individually based treatment depending on all the factors in each unique case.
