Why not Clomid??From: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 7 Oct 1998 16:13:48 -0500 (CDT)
I have been TTC since 1/98. Consulted with OB/GYN in July. I've had a normal hystersalpingogram, husband SA is Ok, and 2 serum prog tests (Aug. level was 17.2 and Oct was 9.5). Dr indicated that these are within the normal range. I've charted temps all along, and have had cycles range from 22-30 days with 10-12 day luteal phase. Dr wants me to try 2 more months on our own and if no results wants to do a lap to rule out endo and peritubular adhesions. I asked if I could be put on a med and he said at this point he didn't know what he would put me on. Is Clomid a "catch-all" type drug that doctors put women on if they can't find anything wrong? I'd rather try meds for 2 months instead of doing a lap.
