I am not a doctor, just a 40 year old also trying to get pregnant. When the Dr. checked my progesterone level at 7 days past ovulation it was a 13.5. I was told that it showed that I had ovulated that month. He told me that you need at least a level 10 or more to support a pregnancy. He then put me on daily progesterone injections and retested me and it was 34.3. He was pleased with that. I take then starting the day after ovulation until I test for pregnancy 14 days later. I hope this helps
