Can't find the right pill!From: Jill (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Sep 1998 14:35:31 -0500 (CDT)
I began taking birth control pills when I was 16 to help alleviate extreme cramping and heavy bleeding. I am now 22 and have been prescribed for approx. 8 different kinds of pills. I have been on both mono and tri phase pills, but it seems that if one works at first, it loses it's effectiveness (for the cramps and heavy flow) after a few months. Or, it has a combination of low effectiveness/low side-effects, high effectiveness/high side-effects, and in the worst cases, low effectiveness/high side-effects. I am frustrated at having to always change pills! (I've even tried Depo-Provera, without success.) (By the way, mono-phase pills tend to be more effective, but they cause the most side-effects for me. Tri-phase pills are generally less effective for me, but have less side effects, except spotting, which is occuring more frequently) Somebody please help me find a way to the right pill!
