dostinex side-effects

After the birth of both children, my periods didn't resume without the assistance of parlodel (first birth) and now, dostinex. I've been on dostinex for six months and my doctor would like to see me on a 6 month - 2 year plan with this medicine. I'm ovulating regularly, so, that's OK, but I have questions about side effects from the medicine. I only guess that they're side effects because they've only occurred since being on dostinex (don't recall some "problems" with parlodel). First, I break out on my neck, under the ears, with "acne"-like bumps. Secondly, my knuckles on my hands are so swollen! It goes beyond being able to put rings on, but my right pinky (how technical!) is painful to touch on some days. (My doctor recommends ibuprofen for the latter problem and that helps.) Basically, I'm wondering if these are possibly related to the dostinex. My doctor says, "possibly". I'm tempted to stop the dostinex because of the pain in my fingers. Should I?

Thank you for your time.
