It only takes a few days for the hormone levels to drop, and for your levels to begin rising. That's why we advise using another form of birth control if patients miss 2 days in a row.

Although it's impossible for me to say for sure, it's certainly possible that the symptoms had nothing to do with the pill. A careful history and physical by your doctor would be the best bet.

There's no way to tell, so it's a wait and see process. Almost all women who go off the pill revert to their normal menstruation pattern (the one they had before the pill) within a few months. So, if you remember how your periods were before starting the pill, it's likely they will be similar to that.
