daughter lost vision & hearing for few secondsFrom: Steve (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Sep 1998 17:43:33 -0500 (CDT)
My daughter, age 19, taking birth control pills for control of menstural period excessive bleeding and cramping. Started taking them 2 cycles ago. Started 3rd cycle one week before problem. In church, she lost vision in both eyes and hearing. Was still aware of what was going on in her body. Remained standing and could still feel people shaking her hands. Felt hot. Eyes remained opened but she could not see. Should we be concerned about blood clots? If it was a sudden drop in blood pressure, how was she able to remain standing? Thanks for any input.
