Melanie-

This forum works best when everyone has a chance to read the responses. Otherwise, it's just a private consultation service, and I doubt any of the health care providers here would be interested in participating in something like that.

There are a lot of possible reasons why a lump would appear near the bikini line. As you suggested, an ingrown hair is a likely possibility. Another is a swollen lymph gland. Others include infections, cysts, hernias, endometriosis (rarely), and, rarest of all, cancer.

It's not possible to diagnosis this without a physical exam, so you should really see your doctor about this. He or she can easily check it out and make a diagnosis.
