petrified about lap OOPS - message cut offFrom: Allie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 Sep 1998 11:13:39 -0500 (CDT)
I have a laparoscopy coming up to see about my pain - dr suspects scar tissue. I am so scared. I had a lap done for my tubal and it was sooo painful - too forever it seemed to recover. I even left the hospital without peeing because every time they got me up I passed out. I had to leave because of insurance - it was same day surgery. I have to have this done because I can no longer with with the pain andwe have tried everything else. My question is is there anything I can do to make the recovery easier his time? I am so scared. I also have children to care for. My second question is, can the dr do a tubal reversal at the same time? I had bands?? I am 28 and had the tubal done too young - I find myself really wanting another baby even though I am ashamed - I know it was supposed to be permanent. Would you do a tubal reversal while removing scar tissue? Can it be done during a laparoscopy? Have any of you ever seen this in your patients before or am I crazy? I am sorry for the length. Thank you so much for your time. Allie
