Alright, enough, I'm joining the thread. :) I really don't care if my doctor is male or female, but I do consider the personality of the doctor an issue.

To tell the truth, I grew up with a male doctor and never saw a woman for anything until about five years ago. I feel that I was spoiled since my first doctor was so old fashioned. He was a real "family" doctor having taken care of my mother, delivering my brother and me, and caring for all of us until his retirement.(--I cried!) He did everything. He happily conversed at the mall and knew every detail about every patient. He would have done anything for anyone. Probably the type who would have accepted chickens for payment like on "Little House".

I wonder if this is why I look for such a personable trait in my doctors. I just want to feel comfortable. Man or woman doesn't bother me.
