I am 5 wks pregnant today. A week ago Friday, at 12 dpo, I had a Beta HCG test and progesterone test. The Beta HCG was 46 and the progesterone was 32. At 19 dpo I had these tests repeated. The Beta HCG was 1630 and the progesterone had dropped to 24. I have had one normal pregnancy followed by 2 miscarriages - one at 5 weeks and one at 8 weeks. It is for that reason that my doctor is watching my progesterone. He said that these last numbers look fine and that there is no reason to test again. I will be seeing him at 8 wks. I am currently not on any progesterone supplementation. Is it normal for progesterone numbers to drop like this? Would it be wise to test again? If so, in how many days? Thank you in advance for any information. I'm trying very hard not to be too worried about this, but I want to be sure and be informed also.
