I am on bedrest also 24 hrs a day. I used my laptop next to me and it is perched on a pillow. I asked this same question also at another site and was told as long as you don't have the actual power pack resting on your belly you should be fine. Also a women told me she used her laptop all day long to work from home when she was bedridden and the computer was actually on her leg. Her healthy full term baby suffered no long term effects.
