I am adding this to the forum again, I wrote twice, but no one has answered back. I am suffering from adhesions, I had surgery in april, a laparotomy to remove ovary and fix my bowel twisted by adhesions, I went last week for a laparoscopy, and my dr. told me that the adhesions were twice as bad as they were in april, that he did not even know where my bowel was. I am going in today to talk about next surgery, lysis of adhesions, that he said had to be done, i will have to go through another laparotomy, he has to fix and find bowel, i was told that I will be on bedrest a long time due to the adhesions seem to come back easier if you are too active. I am so confused about the pain, I am worried about my bowel, can someone ease my mimd that my bowel can be harmed, my gastro dr. not too worried, but my gyn. dr. is! HELP! Toni Welsh

I am contemplating more surgery now due to this same trouble,
I had pelvic pain and leg pain too! I went in and the dr.
did a lap. but told my husband when he got in there he can
not see my last ovary, he did a laparotomy, untwisted the
bowel, was full of adhesions, and removed last ovary, it was
stuck to abdominal wall, he said he had to literally pull it
off, I had no pain for 3 weeks, GREAT!!! But after 4 weeks
the pain was back worse than before the surgery, I can not
stand it, I called him yesterday to go thru another lap.
He said that is all he could do, abd hopefully the laser would
help the adhesions not grow back, but it is interfering in my life.
There are times when I cannot even get up, or sit or bend.
The pain is awful, but it is in lower pelvic area where my
bowel he straightened, is and goes down to my legs. I am
looking for HELP!!!!! Can not stand the pain!
