(symptom list follows) The coarse hairs you're plucking from upper lip, under chin, and neck sound unusual, but hairs on your nipples, down the line from your belly button to your pubic hair, and fine blonde hair on your face are all normally found in women. Whether the coarse hairs are a result of excess testosterone, genetic factors, or some other cause isn't something that can be determined over the Internet. PCO is a syndrome, or collection of symptoms; one may have a mild case with few symptoms, but it sounds like you have only one symptom. If you haven't gotten pregnant in two years of not using birth control, but are apparently ovulating regularly, your male partner may have some factor that prevents pregnancy. However, you should take the same precautions as you would if pregnant: avoid medications, recreational drugs including alcohol and cigarettes, xrays whenever possible; take a multivitamin each day to ensure that you're getting enough folic acid; eat a healthy diet. If you are unhappy with the care you're getting from your ob/gyn, I hope you'll find a new one who may address your concerns in a way that better satisfies you.
