Re: abnormal bleeding during periodsFrom: Marcia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Aug 1998 11:45:18 -0500 (CDT)
I'm responding to Dr. Ind's comment about whether or not other women have trouble getting into their doctors for immediate care. I've not been in this particular situation, but it has been my experience that I've been able to see a doctor pretty quickly when I need to. I can only guess why the office thought that it was permissible for her to wait six weeks under these conditions. Perhaps they felt that she'd been dealing with it so long that another month or so wouldn't make much difference. I don't have any trouble speaking my mind at the doctor's office, but some women are extremely intimidated, especially if they've had a previous bad experience.
