The level of activity of the fetus is very variable when you compare it to others babies but the level of activity remains relatively constant when you compare it to himself. The best thing to do is to take 3 times each day one hour period to watch the fetal activity. For each period, you rest on your right side with a leaf of paper and a pencil. You can divide the leaf of paper in four parts (one for each 15 minutes). This will allows you to termine the period of observation later if you fall asleep. You have to make a mark for each fetal movement. At the end of the day, you add the marks and this is the normal for your baby. Normally the total number of movements will remains relatively constant from day to day. If there is a fall over half of the habitual total number in a day period, you must inform your health provider. This test is very good cost/benefice speaking. There is no cost (a leaf of paper,a pencil and a pregnant mother) and we assume that the pregnant woman will take 3 hours of rest each day. I recommand this test to my patients.
