Alesse

I've started taking Alesse bc pills for heavy bleeding, resulting in anemia. An endometrial biopsy a few years ago showed cystic endometrial hyperplasia, and the Dr. said the bc controls pills should taked care of that. Doc won't do an abdominal hysterectomy because I am quite overweight. I quit smoking 8 months ago, but am somewhat concerned about the side effects of the bc pills. I've had some significant swelling of my legs and ankles, and have muscle soreness in my legs. How common is the danger of blood clots on low dose bc pills? I've previously had leg pain with my periods, and Doc said bc pills may have something to do with the pain, but he doesn't think from the pain I've described that it is blood clots. Should I be concerned?
