abnormal consistancy of periodsFrom: ma (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 22 Aug 1998 14:28:21 -0500 (CDT)
since i stopped taking the pill last september, my periods have been regular, however EVERY MONTH for 24-48 hours before true blood is discharged, i have small amounts of brown-pink, transparent thick discharge. i discussed it with my obgyn who thought the day i got this discharge was likely the first day of my period. i am trying to get pregnant and when using a temperature chart or ovulation predictor kit they correlate to show the ovulation matching with the first day of true bloody discharge, not this pink-brown discharge/. i know this all sounds confusing, but now i am worried because for the past 2 months, my periods have been regular, no cramps, no heavy bleeding, BUT very thick and sludgy, dark brown, and with clots. has anyone experienced this? i am seeing the obgyn in 2 weeks- what kind of tests should be done(blood, pap)? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
