Ovulating Regularly or Irregularly, If At All?From: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 21 Aug 1998 12:19:55 -0500 (CDT)
I went off the pill in March after being on it nearly 3 years and have been trying to get pregnant since May (I'm 29 and I've never had a child). - Does having lower left side abdominal pain each month at midcycle 'prove' that I'm ovulating? This month the pain lasted until about the second day of my period. - Also, can it be due to a nerve? It is a sensitive area especially in one position of intercourse it hurts. - Am I considered to have irregular periods because since I went off the pill the menstrual cycle has been 33, 27, 26, 25, and 28 days long in that order. Does this imply that ovulation would be irregular too? - Should my husband and I have intercourse daily as soon as my period ends in order to try to conceive? Thank you for the advice.
