Congratulations on avoiding surgery! I would request your records (including copies of your ultrasounds) and find another doctor. You need and deserve a total explaination for what you have been through. It sounds like you had a functional cyst that resolved on its own. I get these and my doctor's criteria for surgery is mostly pain level. He only operated on my cyst because I was in horrible pain. Other reasons to operate can depend on large size and location, i.e. large cyst growing inside the ovary. If you did have a functional cyst, you should talk to your doctor about taking birth control pills to try and prevent this from happening again.

I'm so glad your doing better, without surgery. I hope you can get all this resolved.
