Just wondered if having a high testosterone level (two times higher than norm) is a diagnosis of PCO? My RE gave me three treatment options (Clomid, Birth control pill or Spironolactone) but never indicated what exactly was wrong with me...What are the normal levels of testosterone?

I have all the symptoms of PCO including the acne, moustache, lower belly hair, facial hair, loss of head hair (which is incredibly greasy) plus periods aren't on time anymore.

Doctors, I'd also like to know whether high prolactin levels are tied in to the testosterone levels? Mine is currently between 130-170. Will they come down when the testosterone comes down? (I have had neg. CT scan for prolactinoma) and have a ultrasound scheduled also.

Sorry for the length...Thanks for all help :))

Anne
