I had the same procedure done, after having a 'blind' D&C about a month earlier. I elected to be 'put out' the second time around, because the first procedure was very painful and I had a hard time relaxing -- the uterus being muscle, I felt that made things worse. It is a highly personal decision, though. I really was opposed to being 'out.'
