I have finally found an Intervention Radiologist in my area (Portland Ore) who is willing to do this. I would be his FIRST UAE patient. Is this "risk to me" beyond normal risks associated with the procedure? I am 46, fit, severely anemic, fibroid 18 weeks, in uterine wall, heavy bleeding. Have been researching the insurance component of this procedure, first time tried for approvals turned down, trying again this week with new CPT codes.
