A low lying placneta can cause bleeding - I went 3 months without knowing I waws pregnant for that reason - as the placenta passes over the cervix it can cause bleeding - also a swollen cervix. You have plenty of time to worry about that placenta - it will most likely move upward on its own. Relax, take it easy, enjoy the rest time - I have a site for women on bedrest, if you are interested, just email me. You will see your primary Dr soon - it is not an emergency!
