1 Hr GTT Cutoff

Why do some doctors use 135 as the cutoff for the 1 hr glucose test, while most use 140? (All the documentation I've found on the web also states 140, and this it the recommended cutoff from the International Symposium of Diabetes.)

I got a 136 on the 1 hr test and have no risk factors for GD other than being over 30 (I'm 33).I ate a piece of white bread toast 2 hrs before my blood draw. Would this have affected my results? Would it do any good to re-take the 1 hr test?

Thanks much, Lisa
