No

Spotting in the first couple of months when starting the pill is normal. If it persists, then you may be put on a higher dose estrogen pill. I don't know how long you have been off the pill but there are a lot of relatively new brands of pills around that have lower doses of estrogen than those of the past. This may be why you have had spotting this time but not last time.

I agree with Stephanie's comment that changing a pill may help but it is always worth while giving a new pill a good chance. I normally recommend standing by a new pill for three months before deciding you don't like it.
