Re: inducing amenorrhea in bridesFrom: Thomas (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Jul 1998 03:16:10 -0500 (CDT)
If on the monophasic contraceptive pill. You can omit the the seven day break. However, it is important to consult your doctor first as this depends on what type of pill you are on. If this is an emaculate wedding and you don't wish to start a family immediately, then you should see your doctor for contraceptive advice before the wedding. Other ways of doing this are taking a high dose of progesterones however, this can cause water retention and breast swelling which is not always ideal when trying to fit into a wedding dress. Go and see your doctor. This is not an unusual request and most doctors consider it both appropriate and ethical to help women who want to miss a period for an important event.
