With just one functioning ovary, and with the one removed having never functioned, can she ovulate every month? Will her eggs get old or will she run out sooner than a woman who ovulates from a different ovary every month? Any month she has not been on the pill, she has had mittleschmerz on the side of her remaining ovary -- wouldn't that mean she is ovulating?

At birth, each woman has an average of 350,000 ovules. Each month the best ovule will grow and ovulate. If you presume 40 years of endocrinal activity with one ovulation each month, the total is only 480 ovules.

I know, it's less than the number of spermatozoids but she can have a big family
