Stroke/Bells Palsy?

Last year I gave birth to my son at 30 weeks due to Pre-eclampsia/HELLP Syndrome. They feel that he quit growing around 27 wks due to his weight of 2lbs 8ozs at birth. My BP was 210/110, +4 on the protein, headaches, 10 pound weight gain in a few days, liver failure, kidney failure and my platelets dropped just below 50,000, pre-term labor, diminished fetal heart rate. Anyways approx. a month or so after delivery I had a strange expierence. I was feeling very tired and thirst throughout the day (wrote if off to pumping). Then I noticed my face was drooping and the whole left side of my body was numb. I nearly fainted but made it to the couch where I could do nothing but lay there as I could barely see due to having a blinding migrane of sorts. Then next day I called my primary physician and went in. He told me everything looked fine and to just 'pat my face' when it happens again. For several months after that my face would go numb and droop on and off. Reading the symptoms of stroke and Bells palsy I cannot make a determination of either one. Does anyone here think one way or the other? It did take my BP a few months to come down and I did not have a stroke during labor (large amounts of Magnesium prevented that). To this day I have the occasional numbness in my face and see 'shooting stars' in my vision...Any ideas???
