Yeast infectionFrom: Melanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 27 Jul 1998 18:11:22 -0500 (CDT)
First a little background; I have been getting yeast infections once a month for 4 years now. We have figured out that it is because of my period and my PH levels. I am currently taking Boric Acid when I get an infection and it seems to work. I didn't get one last month, because i am assuming the acid is finally working. Now for the question; about a 2 years ago i started shaving my vagina bare. I stopped because a friend mentioned that it could be causing my infections. I mentioned it to my new doctor (the one who put me on the boric acid) and he said that it was ridiculous because the yeast already inside of me and shaving would have nothing to do with it. I starting shaving agian, but not as often. It seems that the last two times i did, i got another infection. Now remember when i said that last month i didn't get an infection? Well i shaved two days ago and I now feel like i may be getting another infection? Do YOU think that the shaving may have something to do with the yeast infections?
