Eve,

I'm not a Dr, and I don't know why htis works, but I my grandmother used to have UTIs all the time. She started drinking Cranberry juice and found that it REALLY helped...the infection would right itself quickly (often with medications) but if she drank a cranberry juice on a regular basis, it would help prevent them as well.

I know I've had similar success with cranberry juice on the rare occasion that I've had UTI. If you haven't tried it, you might give it a whirl.
