Still in pain after surgeryFrom: DianeM (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 10 Jul 1998 14:24:31 -0500 (CDT)
I had a laparoscopy June 22th to remove endometriosis. The surgeon electrocoagulated (diathermy): endolesions under both ovaries (adhesions to pelvic wall on right ovary), endolesions on the roof of bladder, in the cul-de-sac. An endometrioma on right ovary was drained and the lining of the cyst was electrocoagulated. Adhesions sigmoideum-pelvic wall loosened. Since my period (started last Friday) I've had increasing pain each day. My period was normal. How long time does it take to heal from the surgery ? My pain is sharper than before the lap and is concentrated in the ovary-areas and the bladder (frequency). Is it too early to tell if the endo/adhesions are back, or is it 'normal' to have such pain after surgery? I appreciate any feedback. Diane
