Fatigue, fibroids, and endo

Hello, everyone. I've been corresponding with someone on another list who, like me, had fibroids and presumed endo. (She recently had a hysterectomy, a decision I have been struggling with for many months.)

She mentioned that one of the things that swayed her was the notion that fibroids, being highly vascular, gobble up a lot of nutrients from your blood and thereby contribute to fatigue. This is an appealing concept, as I've had terrible problems with fatigue for maybe a year now.

What do the doctors and others here think about this idea? Does it make sense? Or is it possible that endometriosis contributes equally, or more, than fibroids to the fatigue problem? (Or none of the above?)

Thanks for your thoughts,

Angela
