I am considering taking low dose birth control pills to relieve the signigicant problems I am having with perimenopause. I tried tri-phase pills about 17 years ago and hated the side effects,(headaches and bloating) so I stopped. What type of pill is available today that will regulate my hormones without causing any side effects? Birth control is not an issue for me as I have had a tubal approx. 10 years ago.I am age 45 now.
