Abdominal Pain

I have been having a problem that comes and goes. I have been keeping records to try to determine what sets it off. About once every six weeks to two months, I get this really bad lower pelvic pain. The symptoms are lower backache, cramping (like gas pains sort of), nausea, distended belly, and pain when going to bathroom. When I urinate, it comes out in small stream and hard to empty bladder, and when having a bowel movement, painful and thin-like stools (like a pencil). I've gone to my obygn while in middle of these symtoms, and he says bladder, uterus and one remaining ovary seem all normal size. The symptoms last for two or three days, and I am just about worthless during this time. I have noticed that food may set off, so wonder if it could be gastrointestinal instead of pelvic problem. When I eat greasy or fried food, this could happen. Is it possible that you can get a "kink" in the lower intestine, and the pain and discomfort lasts until it works itself out? Thinking about looking into getting scope on lower intestine...what do you think?
