ovarian cyst 2 months after having one removed???From: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 7 Jul 1998 08:06:33 -0500 (CDT)
2 months ago I had a right side ovarian cyst removed that my doctor said "was the size of a grapefruit". I had no problems with the laproscopic procedure. I was taking BCP and still am. About a week ago, I started feeling pain in the right ovarian area. It feels worse when I urinate. If it is a cyst, it would be my third. I am rather shocked that I could have another cyst. I know that if it is a cyst, there is nothing the doctor can do. The pain is tolerable. My gut feeling is to just wait and see. Could I have another cyst this soon after the last one? If so, is there some possible way to prevent this? My doctor mentioned increasing the strength of the BCP but didn't do so at my follow-up visit. Would this help? Any replies are appreciated. Ann
