Abnormal Pap Results

I had a pap test about a month ago. I got my results, and I found out that it was abnormal. The nurse told me that I had atypical squamous cells. What does this mean? I was told I would have to have another pap in three months. If I still have atypical squamous cells, what will happen? I heard that I would have to have them burned off. Please help me! I have stressing a lot about this. Thanks.
