Your Doc is the best judge of his or her own confidence in their ability at this juncture. Use of Clomid is not without risk, both at the time of use, and potentially later in life, so we generally try to limit the number of Clomid cycles to as few as possible. On the other hand, you have only ovulated once at the most. Since your odds of pregnancy, even with ovulation, are never more than 25% and could be much worse, the most common practice is to try at least 3 cycles on a regieme that has evidence of successful ovulation, before moving on to other interventions.
