Use of cipro during pregnancyFrom: Qing (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 29 Jun 1998 09:31:28 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I have a question about a medicine my wife took during her early pregnancy. Her last period started on March 26. We tried to have the baby from April 5-7. She had a urine infection on April 10. We didn't realize that she was pregnant and she took cipro from April 10-20, 1 pill per day. Is this medicine going to have serious effect on the embryo? From the books we read, at that time the embryo had not been attached to the uterus. Are there any ways that we can find out if there is any defect on the baby? We heard the baby's heart beat last weekend. It was normal. Thanks a lot.
