I also understand the frustration, anger and despair that arises when you can't seem to make your doctor understand that something is really wrong. I was in that situation for a long time and I reached a point of feeling that my doctor just didn't care or didn't have the time to care. When I reached that point I turned here. I needed the viewpoints of other physicians. I wasn't looking for a miracle--just confirmation that I was not losing my mind. When I read what the doctor's here had to say, I realized it was time to find a new physician. I understand that obgyn's have a tremendous workload and I don't mind waiting due to an unexpected delay in the office, but when I can't get my doctor to listen to me, I have to turn elsewhere. That doesn't mean the doctor is a "bad doctor" he/she just wasn't the right fit. And that is the point-one patient, one doctor. You cannot turn that problem into a blanket issue and use it as a judgement against an entire group. If you feel you are not getting the quality or personal care you feel you require, you look for a new doctor. By the way, Barbara, an online friend of mine is a PCOS patient and has also added a link to OBGYN.net on her page as well as a link to a PCOS site http://www.yahoo.com/health/diseases_and_conditions/polycystic_ovarian_sydrome__pcos_/ HUGS, SMILES and a gigantic proportion of thank yous to you and the staff and volunteers at OBGYN.net
