Cheryl...I've known Dr. Chudacoff since before the Women's Health Forum began (not too personally but through posts and e-mail) and know that he is one of the most caring and compassionate physicians around and he is deeply concerned by the issues that affect women. I went back through archives to find the post for my own curiosity and did...along with the ones that proceeded it. I think this post that you were forwarded was taken out of context, which made it look like something it wasn't. In reading the original post by Dr. Braun, the topic was agreeing with another physican that the health care system needs LESS legislation and they used the CABG argument as an example...but it was CONGRESS they were talking about that would never make it illegal because it was a "man's disease"...not the physicians wanting to see it happen. They would be outraged if ANY of the procedures they perform for women were legislated or outlawed. Believe me, they are PRO-women, NOT anti-procedure.

I hope that if you go back through some of the messages, you will see the true meaning and context that comment was intended to be...and that you can rest easy knowing that these physicians are on your side! :-)
