Just a little confused...postpartum.

Dear Drs., Hello, I hope you are all doing well. Thought I would give this a shot even though I feel a little ridiculous doing so. I am 4 weeks postpartum from a repeat c-section. Everything went great, my recovery has been good with only the exception of a kidney infection and anemia. My scar looks fabulous and I physically feel pretty darn good. I can get up in the morning feeling pretty rested and do normal household chores, and take care of the two year old as well. So you say what is the problem? I am not sure. I feel disconnected from our baby. I realize 2nd kids are different but I cant figure this out. He has projectile reflux and is pretty colicky most of the time. He is beautiful and has no other health problems, he is gaining like a feeder piglet and I realize he isnt vomiting on purpose or anything like that...but I dont even feel like he is my baby. With my daughter I had about one day that I felt bad and cried then I got over it( she also had reflux- nothing new here). This time I dont cry very much but I cant seem to "connect". The best way I can describe it is its like he is a close friends child-I still love and care what happens but there is not that "link". I feel ridiculous inquiring about this because I am not sure why I feel like this. Is this too stupid to call my Dr. about? Could the anemia be contributing to these feelings, hemoglobin and hemocrit are very low still? I am just not sure, with first one I fell head over heels in love, this baby was just as wanted before he was born and now I cant figure out why I am not bonding with him. Hope this doesn t sound totally off the wall. I am just not sure why I feel like this. Any comments would be appreiciated. Thanks
